Ah.....I wouldn't. It will get evenly distributed into all the runners inside the intake, but why use a liquid? Use a FOAM that expands while it sits.

The foam expands and cleans 100% of everything.

Yes. Its just a dead part if its not hooked up to the intake. Nothing can come out of it. It just sucks gases out of the crankcase while your engine is running if its connected to that vacuum port on the intake.

Duh... Makes sense now. If nothing is sucking through it (i.e. the intake) nothing goes through it. Thanks.

Seems like an interesting alternative. Can you post a link to this mopar cleaner? I seafoamed my car a few years back and I might give this a try now.

You should be able to get it at any Chrysler/Dodge dealership. My friend is a tech at one and snaked a can for me so I have no idea what they cost. I assume maybe $10-$12 a can.

One should do it. But if you get alot of smoke you could do another one a week later.

So Mopar the top end through the intake port, but continue to put seafoam in the gas tank and crankcase?

I was wondering the same thing. It seems like it should because those will clean out different systems, but we will wait for the official word.

Put Sea Foam in the fuel tank ONLY. Do not put it in the crank case.

If you want to clean your crank case, use "engine flush" at each oil change. Just add a bottle or two to the engine oil right before you change the oil. Let it idle for 5 minutes, then change your oil normally. It will clean the crank case 10 times better than Sea Foam will. I use 2 bottles at every oil change, every time.

I Sea Foamed mine 3 times, the 3rd Sea Foam didnt smoke one bit. Then a week or so later I did the Mopar and its still smoked nicely. Everything the 3 Sea Foams missed, the Mopar stuff got it.

I explained in this thread WHY Sea Foam does not clean MOST of the intake and pistons.

Its a liquid....not a "foam". Foam gets everywhere, liquid doesn't. Plus you do run a chance of ruining the entire engine if you get too much Sea Foam into a cylinder and start it up. Hydralock.

Liquids do not compress. Therefore do not put a liquid into your intake. The additional pressure can be too much for your engine internals and bend rods if done wrong.

Current API rated oils do not leave sludge behind when changed regularly. The black color of oil is the suspended carbon that would have been sludge with older oils. Seafoam is a light weight mineral oil. It will thin your oil and could cause it to not be able to protect your engine. Adding anything to modern oil is a bad idea. The additives may not mix well with the additives in your engine oil and break it down, cause foaming, reduce or increase viscosity. If you want to flush your oil, drain the oil without changing the filter. Add clean cheap light weight motor oil (ex Mobil Clean 5w20) run the engine for a while then change oil as usual.

Chrysler dealership here has cases of it.

It actually is special, its one of those things that really works as advertised. Google search it and read all the testimonials.

I recently got a wide variance in prices calling diferent Chrysler dealerships. The nearest Jeep dealer quoted me $7.50 but they needed to order it. The Dodge dealership 10 miles away had 109 cans on hand but wanted $11.50 for it.
