its only going to get worse. Repair it now with the glue I posted a link to. Mine is starting to feel whipped, so I am planning to remove the lid and do some preemptive fixes.

Happens to just about all of them that get abused regularly. I was lucky and found a whole console on here for 50 bucks. But I like your ghetto fixes. Mine was too far gone for that.

Check some junk yards. You might get lucky.

kny3twalker: I wish you luck with yours, but I really don't think it's possible for mine to get worse...it's no longer together and pieces are missing.

Blackened2k: That's definitely a great deal, the market for these things is definitely more cutthroat than I originally thought.

VIP1: I'll look around for junkyards, but my part of FL probably doesn't have too many.
