Default Tint Scratching

We see this as a common problem in our customers vehicles. The window pushers have a felt on them and it wears then the metal hits the glass instead of the felt scratching. We have them used for $7.00 not sure about Gm new but I can check and post later. The window pushers are the little L shaped brass color bracket with the felt edge.
Good luck

Lynette

Default window tint scratched?

I have a 2001 alero. Yesterday i went out to scrape the windows because of a snow storm and i scratched up the tint really bad.. i was just wondering if they could fix it or if they would have to totally re tint it?

Hmm, wish I had known about this before today, I guess I could have searched. My car is getting tinted as I type this. Any recommendations?

Put your window down pull rubber back, grab a flash light and look down in there to see if they are broken before you get tint.

Thanks. I called the tint shop and asked them to look while they were working on it. The said the felt and the brackets looked good. And considering they charge $50 to refelt the brackets, I figure they must be shooting me straight. I'll probably order some of the brackets myself and check them periodically to see if they need to be changed. Kind of a crappy problem, never had anything like that to worry about on any other of my cars.

I guess no one caught that! scraped his tint(inside the car) by scraping the snow off the outside of the car. LOL. Never heard of anyone tinting the outside of a window...although I guess it can be done
