Oil cap stuck, WTF!!??

Default Oil cap stuck, WTF!!??

ok so i want to change my oil, but the oil cap will NOT come off! ive tried everything short of cutting it off....

what the hell is the deal here?! and YES i am turning it to the left.

i'll give that a shot, i did put a towl on it just for added grip, but was afraid to use a hammer.

that or the whole plastic tube can come of to so that way you can really try plus its a back up incase you cant break it loose you can still add oil

im sure you know but it only turns like half a turn to the left and then it lifts off

yeah, i know it only turns halfway. but now i can get it turned, just wont lift off. lol, its almost like the oring is glued to the tube.

it could be already all the way to the left, try wiggling and pulling up on the cap. ive had oil caps do this before and that seemed to work.

try heating the base and cooling the cap with nitrous and try to twist it off

Mine was difficult to get off the other day also. I just kept wiggling and pulling up and eventually it came off. After being off, I checked it out and there was old oil all in it and around it.
