Post Oil Filter Dissected! Very good info!

Someone took the time and money to do a more current oil filter comparison. Good info for anyone looking for better oil filters

The guy deserves kudos for making the effort. Unfortunately it doesn't tell you much of anything about any of these filters that's really important, like how they actually perform at filtering. And in a google, I didn't find any real information from anybody on the subject with the exception of Fram. Funny thing there - it doesn't matter how much money you spend on a Fram filter, you still get the same basic filter performance per their website.

Some interesting info here though: http://www.filtercouncil.org/index.p...vice-bulletins

I'll check with some of my contacts in the oil industry to see if any comparative hard data is available. If so, I'll post it here.

Sweet. Good to know I've been using what seems to be the best of them all.
