Default spinning noise in rearend/clunking

hey, i just did gears and now whenever im off the gas and coasting i can hear something that sounds like the axel spinning, like a bad bearing in the rearend or something. but it doesnt do it when im on the gas. i asked the guy that did my gears and he said maybe the axel bearings? and whenever i go over bumps i have a clunking noise. we had the car on the lift and noticed that the front sway bar bushing and one of the steering tie arms is a little loose, could that be some of the clunking?
thanks

How many miles ago were they put in? I had a clunking problem from my rear end after driving it about 60 miles after getting the gears put it...my installer didn't put all the grease around the new gears I was speechless considering he had done 100's of installs. Needless to say it was fixed for free.

if by spinning noise you mean a "whining" sound, its possible it can be fixed. what weight gear oil did you use?
