Engine TEMP Sensor
I got the new unit in in 30min and started the car up with a jump and noticed that my temp reading was pegged off the left side. I guess my question is if there is a fuse that controls the dial? If that's the case which one is it? I briefly took a look and didn't find what i was looking for.

My 1998 wouldn't run without it. The engine wouldn't stay running and if I pedaled it it was misfiring and choking like crazy. I waited for the new sensor, put it in and it was perfect.
Don;t know about 2002's.

Its a brass fitting. Unplug the connector and take it out. Be careful not to crank the new one down too much, they can shear off. Not a big deal if it does, but then you have to get the broken piece out and buy a new sensor. I broke one once and tapped a pointy philips head into it and turned right out. If it breaks.
