Need Help Please!!! Ok, I don't know where this is supposed to be so I just put it in here!
My car has just in the past week started making a whining sound. It comes on when I start my car, and kind of gets louder when I put it in reverse but when I go foward my car gets too loud to hear the sound.... It isn't a belt squeeking.... It sounds like it comes from the front but I am not sure... what do you guys think...
I have a 99 SS with 47000 miles on it....

If you rev it up in park does it make the noise, & does it change also in neutral?
Even if the car is not moving it makes the noise correct?
Look at all the belt driven accessories,see if you can find a problem.
