engine wants to die, after stepping on it I have a 99 T/A and every time I step on it then let off the gas my car wants to die. Any suggestion what to check first?

are their any codes?? any mods? give some more info on setup. wouldnt hurt to clean your iac port & throttle body and maf sensor (especially if you have K&N filter) thats what i would start with knowing nothing about your car assuming no codes.
