I assume by not turning over you mean not cranking? In that case i would think you have a bad starter try hitting it with a hammer while someone is holding the key in the start position and see if it cranks.

I had this problem. No gauges came on and car would not start. Seemed like it was completely dead. I had a new starter, battery and the whole nine yards so I knew it could not have been any of that crap.

Come to find out it was a fuse (10). Fuse box left of steering wheel. Check it. It may be the problem because it shuts down everything. Yes, this tiny little fuse made my car seem dead.

Hope it's this easy fix! Let me know. Thanks.

Default Total shutdown while running, dead, nothing, nada.

Total shutdown while running, dead, nothing, nada.

Similar problem please help if possible.

I just experienced this last night for the second time.

Just riding down the road 40mph and everytime stops, complete nothing, no headlights, radio, engine nothing. A total shut down.

Just like the first time this happened the day before I coasted to the side of the road. Said a quick prayer and she started right up like nothing happened.

This time though the engine had a stutter on light acceleration.

Please, I need advise from someone who has experienced and repaired this type of issue with their 1998-2002 Camaro Z28, I have zero engine modifications on my 1999 z28 coupe.

Thanks in advance

Corroision.

Also.....our cars are getting old. I've told people many times its time to start thinking about installing a COMPLETELY new wiring harness. Things will start wearing out and then you're going to get shorts everywhere.

Was not aware that this was happening out of the blue while the car was running. Obviously it is not the fuse.

Did you figure it out yet? Would love a heads up on this. Never heard of this happening before.

Hope it works out...

I would check fuseable link E -service manual says it,s above the right hand shock tower. This link feeds the ignition switch, instrument fuse block, the RAP module etc.Look for loose connections, or corrision or bad solder joint etc.

Good Luck!
