Cold morning problem

Cold morning problem.... HELP!!! Good morning everyone. I have noticed something the past two days when it's gotten really cold. Not sure what section to put this in. I have a 99 T/A, and in the morning when I start her up, the gauge pack resets itself... like when you reconnect the battery for the first time. It's not really a big deal, but it resets my trip odo. Has anyone else incountered this? or do I have a loose connection someplace? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same problem - it is a known problem with the 99's(98's also??) during cold weather(although mine seems to be getting worse with age). Pontiac handled by replacing the entire dashboard - never had mine done since I do not trust the local dealer with my car so I just learned to live with it..... only annoying part of it is it resets the tripometer
Mine does the exact same thing! I was about to post a new thread until I found this one. So is it concluded that a new battery will fix the issue? It's really hard to get a MPH estimate when the trip meter keeps resetting itself. And it does look cool when the speedo and tach spike, I gotta get a picture of it one of these days
