Engine Coolant cap!!

How do I get this thing off? I had a low coolant light come on and then back off so I wanna check the coolant. The resvoir is very dry. But how do I get the coolant cap to come off??? I've tried twisting it and everything but it just wont come off. thanx.

Sometimes this thing can be a bear to get off. You just have to push down pretty hard with the palm of your hand and twist. this will break it loose. Then you have to twist it one more time to get it all the way off.

if your filling the resevior you just twist it off like a bottle cap...if your talking about the radiator cap then you have to push down and twist it off.
