Default Headlight Problem on TA ...

.
First off Happy Thanksgiving everyone ...

Now, I'm not really a new LS1 enthusiast, but I figured this gets way more attention then the proper section, so it goes here.

I have a 99 trans am, and my headlights are having a problem.

The open fine, but when I close them, they close properly, but the passenger side one the motor doesn't stop for 5 seconds or so. It keeps attempting to close the light. I read through the service manual and it said it was some sort of Leveling issue, but I hate reading that thing.

Also, when I lock/unlock my doors (set/unset the alarm) the lights open and close which they have never done before.

Any suggestions on how to fix it?

Your passenger side gear is stripped, you have three options : 1, buy a new motor from GM ...2,buy a brass gear and just replace that or....3,do what I did and go with the 160 fix

my headlight started acting up and it had nothing to do with the gears. as it turnrd out, the weatherpack connector for the headlight motor was corroded. you might want to check this as well as trying the free fix. try brent franker's 4th generation headlight fix page to show you what to do.
