I want to discharge the airconditioning system on my 03 Z06 vette
and I want to do it the Quick & Dirty way without getting R-134 All over the engine bay
I want to remove some weight off the car and clean up the engine bay
Advise, links photos etc: very much appreciated
Thanks, Bon

You won't get refrigerant all over the engine bay, but you might get some oil out of the A/C system. Refrigerant is an odorless, colorless gas at atmospheric pressure. Hook a hose onto one of the fittings long enough to reach outside the car and have at it.

Thanks, Ultimately I went to a shop where they charged me $40 to clean the system
and now the radiator is no longer blocked by the condenser and the front of the car is a whole lot lighter
