Default weird headlight/signal issue SOLVED!!!!!!!!

ok bought the car and the pass low beam was out.. replaced and then that one imediatly went out... found out bulbs were fine it was in the plug that connects HI/LOW and motor... pulled all the little pin connectors out and sanded them shiny head light and motor works flawlessly now but i have a new issue.... the orange marker light in the front bumper directly below the headlights burns all the time right?.. ok but as soon as i turn on the headlights the pass one goes out and the driver one remains...... these lights work fine until the headlight switch is on.... even in park light mode they work...

sounds like a grounded issue to me but where does these things get their ground? i have checked and shined up all plugs but still issue... is there a dedicated lighting ground somewhere?

thanks fellas

Did you check to make sure your lens isn't broken and letting in water? If there is water sloshing around in the lens, then that's the issue. When you turn on the bulb, it heats up, water contacts it and then pow...

OK - There are two filaments in each bulb. One is powered by the marker light circuit (when you turn on the headlights) and the other is powered by the turn signal and DRL circuit.

So, it sounds like there is a short for that one bulb on the marker light side of things. (probably at the socket)
