TCS comes on long trips
I don't have any problems with my TCS system unless I am going on extended drives (for like and hour or more on the freeway). The TCS light comes on and then pressing the button does nothing. It resets after I restart the car. Sometimes it even goes off after I get off the freeway and start doing about ten minutes or so of city driving. Anyone have any ideas? Gremlins?

Mine will come on about 5 minutes after I get on the highway and steadily stay above about 73 mph. It also will not reset till the engine is shut down and restarted. The TCS system works perfectly as long as I never get above about 72 mph for 5 minutes of more.
It started the day I put 315/35/17 tires on the rear. Never did it before that for 4 years with my stock sized tires.

So I am guessing that the sensor does the same thing with a different rear end because my tires have always been 275/40/17s. I did not have a problem before that. Is there a fix for this?

There is no need for TCS on the highway, so its really no big deal. Next time it happens, just turn the key off and back on real quick once you're gtting off the highway and it'll reset back to normal.

I know this is an old post but mine had the same problem after some go fast mods were installed along with my 12 bolt.
In the tune. "min kpa" should be 0 and "max kpa" should be 100. This fixed all my problems.
I hope this helps.

Mine did the same thing, and eventually I got a TPS sensor bad code, replaced TPS sensor and it fixed both problems. 3k miles later it hasn't happened again. I can only assume there was some sort of short in the TPS sensor causing issues with lots of circuitry.
