This is the latch that gets pulled when you open your door from the outside. The red part is broken. Does anyone know this part number?

If you go to a local auto parts store with a good "Help!" section, you'll find them. They come in a blister pack assortment labeled something like "GM door linkage connectors" or something like that. You may also be able to get one from a dealer, but you'll probably pay more.
