Default trip meter resets it self.

The trip meter on my 99'Z resets every time I turn the car off? The gauges also make a full sweep before they work normal once started. the gas gauge is also acting crazy once and awile. Any ideas? Thanks for looking. Matt

Rusty/corroded battery turminals? I would scrape them off with a metal brush and reconnect them.

A place to start anyways.

My '99 Trans am did that too. I remember seeing that it was a problem with the cluster, that year only. Mine would only do it when it was cold outside.
