Default Low traction coming on

When I am sitting at a stop with the clutch in and the tranny in first, my low traction light come on and i feel it working the ABS through the pedals. I only started doing this a month ago and very seldom but now it seems to happen almost all the time. I have an 02 Z28 M6 with some suspension and 85k on the Odo. Any help you guys could give me would be greatly appreciated because I want my baby to run perfect.

Thanks
Derek

You should have the car scanned and look for ABS codes. You could have a bad sensor and the codes should point you to the wheel with the problem.

yeah you will need to see what the voltage coming out of each wss sensor is putting out you have got 4channel abs on your car so your gonna have 4 wss sensors and yeah its prolly along thoose lines.. do you have bigger wheels or gears in your car?

Default low trac

I will go get the codes ran tomorrow. Does it matter that im not getting any warning lights? they all come on at startup. According to the RPO codes it had 16in rims to begin with, but the first owner put 17s on there. I dont believe the gears have been changed, but i dont really know how to go about finding that information out. Also I forgot to mention, but I dont have a traction control switch at all, just a cover next to the fog light switch.

A brake code that indicates ABS problems won't show up on the dash; at least, I don't think it will. Only a suitably equipped shop will have that scanner...

No. Your computer thinks the car is skidding and that its doing the right thing by activating the ABS, so it won't give you a warning. You only get warnings when sensors return parameters out of range.

The rims don't matter. The circumference of the tires do.

Your issue is with ABS not TC.
