how to tell when its time to replace o2 sensors?
been a long time since i replaced them, actually over 60-70k ago. i put new ones in when i put my headers on. so for the longest time my car ran super rich and then i put a wet kit that i could never really get to work that made the car run below 10.1 AFR on the juice with these same o2 sensors. really i think they may need to be changed but i have no SES light on. so i guess my question is how can you tell if you need to change the o2 sensors if theres not SES light on?
also what sensors should i go with? local parts stores have some oe replacement bosch sensors for $52 and i found these on ebay--
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Oxyge...item3ca31cb097
what yall think?

I assume you're talking about your 99 car. But the sensors and plugs are the same for the 97 and the 99.
Stumbling, loss of power, not as powerful as it used to be, hesitation, misfires, running rich, etc...
You will NOT necessarily get an SES light until it totally fails. A scan with the dealership type OBDII scanner will tell you how they are switching while the engine is idling after its warmed up.
Bosch are **** sensors...period.
That EBAY sensor won't work. Wrong plug too.
Go here: www.rockauto.com
Get the Denso 02 sensors with the 11.77 or longer wires, then just zip-tie the extra wire to the frame or wherever. They are $45.00 each. All the sensors are identical, the only reason the part numbers are different is the lengths of the wires that come with them.
They are the BEST sensors on earth, period. These are the EXACT same sensors that GM is using now and selling as their own. But the stealerships will charge you upwards of $180 each for them. They even put them in their own AC Delco boxes.

replacing 02s when they are good is a waste of time and money... you will get nothing from replacing them. 02 dont just read when they fail.... they will throw a coad if the sensor is "lazy" it sounds like a stupid idea, start your kid a college fund with that money.
