Default Cleaned The Air Filter..Power is Back

Yes I know I state the obvious in the thread. Its for informational purposes.

So my Caddy was running kind of sluggish. Off idle throttle response just wasn't normal and mid range throttle response was terrible. I thought it may be the plugs, but remembered I threw a K&N drop in filter in there about a year and a half ago. Popped it out and used the cleaner kit. Washed it out and let it dry overnight over the heater vent in the house. Lightly oiled it and threw it back in. Took my car to the gym tonight and right away I could feel my OLD Caddy back in action. Throttle response was back as was mid range. It was so good in fact that I had a hard time keeping the back end in check because the roads were wet.

So Cliff Notes of this thread is, if you have a K&N or some time of cleanable filter on your ride and your ride is running poorly, pull it out and give it a cleaning.

Try cleaning your MAF also. You may do even better. Some people have oil shed off of the K&N and foul the MAF. (The MAF is not able to burn off that oil.)

I had such a bad time with it, I went back to paper.
