Car Shifting Hard
Actually you could be having the issue I was starting to have (and is common on the 4L60E on these cars). Transmission valve body wear. If I had to guess, you're torque converter doesn't stay locked very well (if at all) either once up to temp.
It isn't that bad to fix though. Transgo SK-4L60E comes with a set of new springs and a valve unit that fixes all that stuff. It is a cheap ($50-ish) kit and works well. I put that in my car and all the harsh shifts are gone and the torque converter locks flawlessly every time.
If you want a more performance-oriented kit, get the Transgo HD kit. Be aware it is more involved though.
I had a friend help me install my kit as his work has a lift and I didn't want to muck around in my transmission by myself.

It's part the fluid but not totally. The fluid is now burnt probably. I went through this with my car. The valve body has a part in it thats messed up. Its called the p1870 fix. Go to camarov6.com and you will find my article and everything. There are plenty other articles and write ups over there on how to do it. It only takes maybe an hour to fix it.

Heres the link. Go to the site listed by someone else and get that part its $26 I think shipped. Get you a transmission filter and gasket and 5 quarts of dextron III fluid. Cost me I think $60 total to fix it. And that will fix your problem.
