Vibration
A) it only happens while the car is in motion at a certain speed, regardless of rpm
B) it happens when the car is stationary and varies with rpm
If it happens it situation (A) it could be anywhere in the drive-train, from the tranny back. ie. transmission, drive shaft, rear axle, tire balance, suspension, etc.
If it happens in situation (B) then it's from the clutch assembly forward. ie. disc, pressure plate, flywheel, internal motor imbalance, accessory pulley, etc.
My vibration happened when the car was stationary and varies with rpm. This is how I diagnosed it.
1) pulled accessory belt and started motor- no difference
-this means that it is not one of the pullies (besides crank pulley)
2) held a screw driver next to the crank pulley while the motor is running to see if the crank pulley was wobbling/bent- not bent & no wobbling
3) pulled the transmission and stared motor- no difference
4) pulled pressure plate and disc, then started motor- vibration gone!
So, if the car is not moving and rev the motor a little, there is no vibration?
When you are in motion and the car is gear (all gears?), there is a vibration?
While in motion and the car is in gear, does it still vibrate when you push in the clutch?
