Default I am sure other drivers HATE MY GUTS!

My passenger side headlight has some play which results in a flickering effect when driving at night. My car is also lowered (Eibach Prolines/Edelbrock IAS shocks) so it is very stiff which doesn't help the situation. Driver's side is nice and tight and always has been.

The flickering has been driving me nuts for years and I am sure other cars on the road hate my guts! It's even worse when driving over the five mile mid-bay bridge in Destin, FL. The combination of the seams in the bridge and my flickering headlight turns the entire 5 mile drive into a RAVE!

I narrowed this down to one of the hinges on the pop-up assembly. I am not sure how to deal with this because it looks like a rivet, but NOT!

Any tricks up your sleeves? You guys have never let me down before.

Thank you in advance. Look forward to your comments.

It didn't bother me either until I moved to a town with a five mile bridge I have to cross often. Thats' the only reason why I am ready to deal with it after ten years.

Hope someone here has some trickeration up their sleeves for us. My search resulted in an old thread, but no fix.

Mine is the same way. I ended up fabricating something after removing the rivet type thing. If you take it off (using a wrench, it is a bolt with one nut I think) you'll see the bolt sits inside a sleeve. For me the sleeve was broken and that's what I had to fabricate.

From searching on here most people buy an entire new assembly as you can't get the part separately I referenced above.

Mine was doing the same thing and it was the headlight motor was striped out. I have since fixed the motor and my lights do not move now!

There are many plastic sleeves with these style headlights. Make sure the headlight motor is tight are so are the 10mm bolts on it. I had the same issue and found some new bolts on here with the bushings.

Good luck with the fix. I am actually stunned that you haven't attracted law enforcement. It seems it would be a magnet for unwanted attention.

Destin, Florida is laid back and every cop in town knows my car. Plus it's only on very bumpy roads where you can see the flickering.
