i was drivin down the highway 2day my exhaust was roaring loud and then at one moment my exhaust went silence and this wistling sound came up (no idea where it came from) and my gas pedal became stiff....i pulled over and when i tried driving again u couldnt hear my exhaust just a whistling sound and my gas pedal was very unresponsive....whats going on....i do have a vacuum leak could that b causing this?? thanks

More like your muffler or cat fell apart internally is my thought.

figured it out...got a huge hole in my muffler and my tranny isnt switching to second gear when it should b

i had the same problem on my camaro turned out to be my cat it was a stock cat and a stock exhaust i ended changing putting in a new magnaflow cat and a flowmaster 40 series and it drove like a brand new camaro
