Thumbs down Oil Leak?

Alright guys did a heads/cam swap awhile back had some issues and had to drop the pan out. Well after I got everything back together it was leaking oil. So thinking it was the pan pulled it out again and put a new gasket and a ton of rvt on it to fix it. Well it didnt fix the problem so I thought the rear main might have started leaking so I decided to pull the transmission and there isnt a single bit of oil in the housing or flywheel.

So could it still be the oil pan or is it something else?
Can I start the car without the transmission in the car to try and track it down?

I would suggest clean everything really good then start the car and drive it a couple miles then get under it and see if you can better pin point it

Did you align everything correctly? The LS Engines are very picky..

Well I think I aligned everything right.

And as far as drive it and figuring out where the leak is I know its coming from the driver side and while I had the car apart I was trying to figure out what else to check besides the rear main. Plus I'm actually taking a vacation to the beach in next weekend and I want to drive the TA instead of Slowbalt

Alright guys got the Transmission back in the car and figured out the leak is coming from the oil pressure sending unit. Any ideas on how to get to the thing to tighten it down?

I dont think there is any easy way to get to it. There is no room no matter how you look at it. It probably would have been easiest to tighten while the trans was out.

Yeah it would have been real easy to tighten it with the tranny out and I meant to do that but forgot

I def. like to borrow that socket. I might can get to it without taking the intake off sometimes its good to have long skinny arms lol

You have to take the intake off, if you don't and somehow find a way to get the socket on it, you WILL break the OPSU when you turn the socket. If you don't keep that socket 100% perfectly straight up and down while turning it, it will break the OPSU.

You can take the intake off in 30-40 minutes. Then you can clean it out while its off, because it should be very dirty inside.

BUT...I don't see how that OPSU got loose in the first place.

It didnt just work loose. When I did the swap I broke the stock one and didnt realize it till after I had put the intake back on. So the first time I did it will the intake was on the so I could have saved me a ton of time and just took the intake off in the first place. Oh well live and learn I guess lol
