ls1 steering columns Hey does anyone know if there is a difference in steering columns from an f-body with a six speed trans vs. an automatic? im looking for a column for my 98 ss, along with the matching bcm. If anyone has one they'd like to get rid of, let me know. Thanks
The way I did it was I put the other column in my car and used my key cylinder so I didn't have any problems with the vats. But either way you need the right key cylinder for your car
Or just get a new key cut for the new column. The cylinder doesn't read the pellet, the BCM does.

can i remove the ignition set from my manual column and put it in an auto column without having problems with the interlock? my car is a manual, but i found an auto column with bcm for cheap. also will an 00 column plug directly into my 99 body?
