Default Water on Passenger side floor

I have a 98 Z28 and if we get rain the passenger floorboard gets soaked. I cant figure out where its coming from though. Any ideas or suggestions?

I would suspect your t-tops not sealing properly, or the window not seating against the gasket right.

i had this problem...

and it was the hole in the firewall located behind the PCM. Water was draining down the firewall and into that hole and then pooling in the floorboards.

Also check and to see if your window is adjusted tight enough against the t-top weather seal(like sparky said)...i had that problem too

I had the same problem and after months of searching it turned out to be a defect in the glue holding the windshield in place. I traced the leak up under the trim into the headliner. Once the windshield was pulled off at a glass shop, I saw the problem. For some reason there is a rectangular notch in the steel at the top middle of the window opening in the steel. It is hidden unless you pull out the glass or pull the headliner loose. On my car they had laid the adhesive from one side of the notch around the frame to the otherside of the notch, but had not gone over the notch. As a result any water that got under the rubber trim around the windshield got funneled through that notch into the headliner. It then ran down the a pillar under the trim, under the lower footwell trim and into the passenger side footwell.

By the way I have a 98 Z-28 also, so maybe they had a crappy glue guy at the factory that year. A year later, I had to get the hatch glass pulled and remounted due to a leak in the hatch caused by poor glue adhesion to the hatch frame.

I had a 95 Camaro that would mysteriously get rainwater on the passenger side floorboard when I drove it on the highway when it rained. This may be a different situation, but in my case, I was told that there was a small drain that was likely clogged just by the firewall on that side, and the excess water would somehow run into the cabin. I would notice the water from the bottom up under the carpet, so I knew that it wasn't from the t-tops. Just a thought, unusual but possible.

I will have to look into the glue thing because the rear truck gets way wet on mine as well when i get a hard rain as well as the water showing up in the passenger footwell too.
