Question Loud squeek coming from the back of the car...

When the car goes over a bump slow or when I'm backing out of the drive way to the street transition. Also does it under semi-heavy braking and when I push down on the back of the car while parked. Don't notice it going over bumps under normal driving conditions or cornering. '02 with about 55k miles. Not sure what it would be I just bought the car last summer and am not that familiar with it yet. Any help is appreciated. Thanks fellas.

My rear squeeks from the rear when I go over speed bumps. Never really bothered me I always thought it was the springs

For replacement do you guys prefer the stock bushings or an aftermarket bushing? A friend suggested this to me http://prothane.com/ Thoughts? Car is my daily driver.

I like the poly bushings, even on a street car. I did install a poly trans mount on my old 3rd gen and that sent some good vibes to the interior, but it never broke again. If you get poly, get greasable bushings if possible.

01SuperSport, I'd guess your sway bar bushings. I couldn't find poly ones for the rear, so I greased the stockers. I did find a write up where a race team uses teflon tape instead of grease. It looked trick. You need to start in the middle, wrap to 1/2" past the bushing on one side, then to the other and finish back in the middle. Then the tape won't come off.

Popped the sway bar bushings off and threw a little grease on them. They must have dried out or something after the car was stored for the winter. Problem solved! Thanks for the help!
