Eletrical problems
I purchased a 1994 T/A last may , drove it for about 500 miles before being deployed , the issue I'm having is dead battery . I just replaced it with a gel cell on my last R&R and two weeks later my wife said it would not crank.....I'm going to replace the alternator to a bigger amp, when I return home. My question is if I have a short somewhere, where do I need to look first. I figured someone on here might of had the same problems...
The alternator is charging, when I checked it with a fluke.....thanxs ski

So was it two weeks from when the battery was put in that she tried to start it, or was it like she drove it everyday and the battery died after weeks?

The was driven everyday after the battery install and then my R&R was over, it was parked for 2 weeks and she tried to start it and it needed to be jumped off. I just want to know what is causing the battery drain..

It could be any number of things,
My red top needs to be baby sat or it looses charge. We never had that issue with the AC Delco battery (replaced due to a leak). I bought a Husky smart battery charger/tender (also sold as Black and Decker), and now the SS is always ready to go. If you're going to be parking for any length of time it's a good idea.
