The Z28 is making some noise...

It sounds like an exhaust leak, tapping or ticking but there isn't any leak anywhere. The sound is coming from the driver side area. I opened the valve cover on that side to see if there is any valve/spring/rocker broken or loose. All is good. The car is running like it should, not throwing any codes, no stalling issues, oil pressure is great. So I'm baffled on this one.

It starts making the noise around 1.5K rpm and become more pronounce on 2K and goes faster (ticking or tapping). It doesn't get any louder though.

WTF?!? Any ideas guys?

How is the stesthoscope work? The engine itself is loud enough already?

haha you probe with it cause when you put it on what ever is making the noise you will be able to hear were its coming from

Did you check to see if your spark plugs were tight? Kindof an odd reason why, but if there's one loose, it sounds ALOT like valvetrain nose. Mine did it about 2 months ago.
