Help...
Help... I have a 99 Z28 and for the last two days it has took me 10 to 15 miniutes to start, and when it does start it idles high and takes a while to come down. I can drive the car and it seems to run fine but it had a hickup twice where it cuts out and all the gauges freak out and the check engine light just blinks once and then goes out, it seems like the car is idleing high, I let off the gas at about 60 and the rpms climbed about 200 rpm after letting out of the gas and now the car wont start, i have been trying for a half hour, any input would be much appreciated.
Do you have an ses light up (check engine light) if so go to autozone and rent a scanner and see what you come up with then post your findings. Sounds like a fuel problem but the high idle is weird.

Have you already ruled out the battery/connections? Are the gauges sweeping and the trip odometer resetting to zero on startup? Low voltage can cause those issues, PCM has to relearn the idle..........
