I honestly laughed out loud when I read that. That **** cracked me up.

My local Carquest had new window motors. They are Seimens or however you spell it. I think I'm going to do the hotwire mod on at least the passenger side.

They are probably not really "new" and they are about the worst option you can install in your car. (I had Siemens motors before I jumped in to my experiment. The Dorman design is far superior and durable.) Likewise the hotwire mod may work to tear apart your composite door.

Wow - those are new cases. I haven't seen something like that in a while. Hopefully, they should do well for you initially. (Remans don't have a very good track record.)

The Dorman motors are fully sealed and the only penetration of the case is where the main rod and gear come out of the case. The OEM design has several other points where rivets go in to the case and bearings are pressed in. Supposedly, that lets in dirt and leads to faster wear.

Bought both mine from summit for $28 a piece with lifetime warranty. Super quiet and lifetime warranty. 2 years so far and still not close to slow.
