Unhappy 99 Trans Am exhaust knocking?

So just yesterday I noticed a knocking sound coming from the rear of the car. It only happens while I'm driving so I can't really get out to see what it is. It happens when I accelerate and is louder at higher speeds. It does not happen when I press the clutch and just rev the engine. It also does not happen when I'm idling or braking. Only while accelerating. And I'm positive the sound is coming from behind me as I drive, not in front (as in the engine). I have no clue what could be doing this. Any ideas?

I really appreciate any help.

Hmmm, it could be the u bend in the exhaust pipe that goes over the rear suspension.

Mine did that after tranny install, I had to loosen the bolt and adjust it.

If it sounds like something is hitting hard check for a broken tranny mount.

When I seen the pipe hitting the cross beam I just pounded a dent into the exhaust pipe.

This may be not really the propper way to fix the issue But it did work.
