throttle issues...

throttle issues... I detailed my 98 Z28 A4 (all stock except for a Borla and mailorder tune) this past weekend. I cleaned the engine bay and dried everything well but the other day I drove the car and noticed a really strange feeling...the gas pedal doesn't feel right; like I have to push the pedal in much more then before. I don't know whats up with it. I had sandles on the other day and I thought maybe that was it (I hardly ever wear sandles and I figured maybe the sandles were causing me to apply pressure to the accel pedal differently or something), but my wifes driving the car today and she said she really feels it now. Its like theres no power without hammering the throttle. I m going to look at it tonight to see if theres anything obvious, but its weird that the car was fine before I cleaning the motor. When I washed the motor and bay I used a small brush and very light spray from water and the leaf blower to dry off...then I dressed it with Sonus motor kote http://www.sonus-usa.com/son-720.html

throttle cable hi, maybe your throttle cable where you can adjust it came un-snapped????if its out of adjustment it can cause weird issues. mine was messed up and i could floor the car and it would only run at about half throttle.

I would check all of the connections to the MAF sensor and especially the throttle body. All of the connections have rubber on them but make sure they are nice and dry. Also check the coolant lines to the throttle body and the cable itself.
When you're under the hood, try manipulating the throttle body plate manually and see if it responds, that way you can try and pinpoint the problem. Good luck with it.
