surging after fuel pump install

surging after fuel pump install i recently had a fuel pump installed on my 98 camaro (LS1).
now it wants to go up 1500 rpm then back down to around 800rpm then back then back down. im thinking a vacuum leak or a bad air idle control valve.
but cant find the air leak if i have one.
this only started after the fuel pump install.
any thoughts?
