change oil light my change oil light comes on a startup and stays on for about 3-5 minutes then turns off.. i recently bought the car and it now has 63,3xx miles.. the seller had a receipt for oil change at 61,7xx miles.. checked oil levels and the oil is good to go. should i do another oil change or is this an issue? thanks
turn the ignition to ON but don't start the car... press and hold the TRIP reset button on the gauge cluster for 12-15 seconds. The Oil Change light should blink and go away.

just be sure not to go like 12,000 miles on that oil, you've already got 2K on it, it might come back on after 5K, thats 7K miles on your oil.
If it was my car, I'd change the oil at 3,000 miles and then reset the light and go by the light from then on.

"How to Reset the Oil Change Light
After changing the engine oil, the system must be reset.
1. Turn the ignition key to RUN with the engine turned off.
2. Push the TRIP/RESET button located on the instrument panel for 12 seconds. The OIL CHANGE light will start to flash to confirm that the system is reset. The reset is complete when the OIL CHANGE light goes out."
