Default IAC replacement help

I replaced my IAC last night and now it's like my car is running on cruise control and idles high. I let the car run in park for a while thinking that the computer would have to relearn but still Idling high. Could I have got a bad new IAC? Also I replacemented it with a new ACdelco part. Thanks!

Did the new IAC have the O-ring on it, have you tried spraying some contact cleaner in the plug, How about using TB cleaner to clean the TB & with the IAC removed clean the IAC passage w/TB cleaner?

yes it has the O ring, It's a brand new part. I disconnect the battery. Car seems to be running better after running for a few hours. Only thing I notice is when I place the car from park to reverse the RPM drops and voltage drops but picks up. Never did this before.
