Question Tightening Clamp on I-pipe of stock lt1 exhaust???

I can't get the i-pipe to stay tight on the y..pipe keeps slideing off the y-pipe. I broke the bolt trying to tighten it even more today..am i missing a notch etc on the pipes to lock them in place?

Clamp still looks good but bolt is broken now..how to fix this?

Any ideas why the pipe would not stay tight on the y-pipe?
I really had it tightened well before I broke it trying to tighten even more.

car is 97 lt1 camaro. tia

Default

Look at the point where the pipe goes over the rear axel , my pipe rubs there and pulles pipe apart from the y pipe,or clamp may hang down low and hit speed bumps, I use a wide band clamp
