Default Is Something Supposed to go Here?

99 Camaro M6

The attached picture is from the passenger's side of the car looking toward the driver's side. The bell housing is on the left and the oil pan is on the right.

Excuse my dirtiness, I had just pulled the passenger side off of the car.

Is something supposed to attach here?

Thank you for any help in advance.

I think a dust cover is suppose to go there. Can you see the flywheel?

I believe a 10mm headed bolt goes there and it secures the "closeout" (plastic dirt shield) that goes next to the starter.
