Unhappy help! wierd a/c problems on my truck!

hey guys i need your help.
my truck is a 04 escalade ext and i have been geting some a/c problems.
this just started happening about a week ago and it has only happened a few times.

wife gets in it to go shopping and both temp dials are on 60f but the 2 drivers vents and burning hot like the heat is on and when i turn the drivers dial to hot it just gets hotter and when i put it back to 60f its still very hot but the passenger side is cold like it should be.

second problem is that the a/c is not as cold as it should be or as cold as it was wile im driving its fine but the second i stop or sit in traffic its not really cold but if i put in in nutral or park and give it some gas its fine.

my buddy had a a/c problem with his 03 avalanche and some sort of sensor wires got burnt/melted and he was having simular problems.

can you guys help?~~~~~

the doors are electic on these, vacuum wont do it. You probably either have a blend door issue, a possible vent temp sensor issue, or the head unit is crapping. As far as not throwing cold when sitting that is an airflow issue. You either have a condenser that is getting restricted (clean it out) or if you have a fan clutch instead of electric fan, the clutch is getting weak.

well the dan on my truck had been making some noise it sounds like big rig taking off from a stop but if i tach up the truck a little it goes away.

and it works fine at speed but i did notice at low speed like 10-20 mph it will start to get warm then go back to ice cold.

when it started acting up today i turned the drivers side **** all the way to 90 like i was puting the heat on and the a/c was still blowing cold it made very little difference changing the temp.

my truck does have a clutch fan not electric.
