Default clutch pedal squeaking

my clutch pedal in an 01 SS manual is squeaking. i'm pretty sure it's the clutch return spring. any other ideas about what might be making a squeaking noise when i depress the clutch?

the only thing you should use WD-40 on is rusted bolts. It will dissolve other oils and washes off.

The spring squeaks against the plastic bushings. For the metal on plastic, use white lithium grease.
