Default stuttering problem

just bought a 95 camaro 3.4 5 speed as a daily driver (when i hopefully fix it). i bought it knowing of the no start problem. fixed that with a new fuel pump. when i start it up it idles just fine but when i go to drive it and get up to about 3,000 rpms to shift it wants to stutter and the rpms go down to 1000 quickly and back up to where i was and will do it till i get off the gas (luckly i get off it the first time ha) ive replaced the fuel filter, coil packs, plug wires, and the tps. i still have to redo the exhaust do to the guy straight pipeing it. would that or maybe the o2 sensor be it?? thanks for the help, its getting me down lol

try cleaning the MAF with some MAF cleaner. (can get from a parts store) the MAF could be reading incorrectly and causing the PCM to lean out the engine.

Well I replaced the MAP sensor with kinda helped with this sluggish feeling but the atuddering isn't fixed. I forgot to add that it backfires right when it happens. I also have notice that the guy had put what looks like a dryer hose on for the air intake (later to find out autozone sells this hose lol) but behind it there was a rubber hose that leads to....I think the smog pump? I think? I'm guessing that could be an issue

Did you clean the MAF sensor? (It costs a small fortune to replace that one.)

Do you have a picture of the hoses you are talking about?

The backfire would point to a problem with a rich mixture. Do you know if your car has a tune on it?

Na carquest said it doesn't have a MAF sensor. The MAP does the same thing except it's not in the induction hose, it's located on the intake manifold. I'll try to get a picture tomorrow if that will help ha and what do you mean a "tune"? Thanks for helping man

What year is your car? Are you driving a 1980, or something like that? If you have a 1996, you should have one. (I don't have a LT1, but online parts stores sure do list it.)

For a tune - I mean has anyone re-programmed the car's computer?
