Default turn signal flasher

I have a 2000 trans am I've read all the post. I've taken knee cover off and the radio and a/c controls out and I can't find that damn flasher anywhere lol. the turn signals don't work anymore but when I turn them on it makes a small click and thats it. there is a box behind the radio is where the click is coming from but it looks nothing like the turn signal fuse/flasher. can anyone get more specific about where it is at? everyone says you can't see it but you can feel it, but I've done ripped everything out that is in my way and still can't find it.

if you take the panel off under the steering wheel it sits right where the inboard side of that panel came off. Its round and close to the OBDII port. I'll see if I can find a pic
