Removed stat, found bits of black seal
Removed stat, found bits of black seal 98 SS, original owner.
I just removed my thermostat, which is the original never been apart, and found little chunks of what looks like a black rubber round seal stuck inside the thermostat. any ideas where its from?
other then new radiator hoses and PS cooler the cooling system has never been worked on.
removed intake manifold years ago to replace knock sensor, and other then that the motor has never been apart.
the pieces of the seal look like it would be about 2" diameter if it was all together.
