Default pully noise?

Today my car all the sudden started making a LOUD noise! When I turn the ac on it goes away completely. What could this be? Idler pully? I also just changed the thermostat....could the coolant that got on the belt be it. It isnt going away so maybe the belt also.?

after my cam swap, mine started this same noise. well replaced the idler pulley, nope, replaced the belt, still no. so i took the belt off to see if it was the ac belt and that wasn't it. i got it narrowed down to the water pump pulley.

AC compressor pulley is SHOT! My question is, is it just the pulley or do I haft to buy a new compressor? AC still works. If I do need to buy the compressor can I bypass it somehow for now? Thanks
