96 V6 camaro starts and runs for 3-5 mins then dies.. A friend of mine is looking at a 96 camaro with the 3.8 that will start and run for a few minutes but you can't drive it anywhere because it will die. The person selling it thinks it's the PCM and that the car is stalling out because the computer thinks the car was stolen. Wouldn't that be the VATS and wouldn't that cause the car to not be able to restart for a few minutes? he says it will die whether its moving or just standing still.
