Default Headlight Motor issue - not gear

!00,000 miles ago I put in the brass gear and all was good 'til recently the glue let go and the back cover is gone. Motor runs but gear flops around.

Bought new motor from Pontiac and wired in ... nothing. Power at gray male connector (car side) no power at gray female connector (H/L motor side).

Disconnect motor and I have power on both sides of connector, so thought I got a bad motor. I wired old motor in and still no power to motor. Disconnected motor and tested and I've got power on both sides of connector. This doesn't make sense.

Is the connector corroded?

Thought I had power into the connector. Service Manual says 9-14v, I am getting point 7v. I may be over my head on this one. Possibly burnt the circuit when I had H/L motor problems?

You should check the voltage with the engine on.

Live and learn. Never believed it could be a blown fuse because I had some power. At night reading the meter acrossed the car looked like 7v, but was point 7v everywhere I checked. Blown fuse on the passenger side headlight motor and I was getting back feed power of .7v. Thanks WSsix99, for your insight. It is ready for night driving again.
