Default voltage drops to yellow at WOT?

been having this issue for awhile. Have a new battery, new belt, and a katech solid tensioner. Whenever i go WOT the voltage drops to yellow and will stay there for awhile.

Any ideas?

its a new alternator and otherwise it works fine.

Strange thing is I just drove around for like 15 - 20 mins and the voltage has still not returned.

Just because its new, doesn't mean its good. Very common for a rebuilt alternator to be a dud out of the box.

Either the alternator isn't charging or the belt isn't turning the alternator correctly.

Get a Truck alternator it worked for me and make sure its a 145amp. I asked for a 2003 Tahoe. Only difference is you wont have to bolt up the rear bracket.
