i noticed this when i took off my rear end to clean it up and finish undercoating the underbody by the gas tank and in the back.

the previous owner cut one of the wires of the harness and grounded it

i got in the picture the wire which was cut and grounded.

why would he do that ??? also what does this wire connect?
